Foreign Ministry: Russia rejected accusations of allegedly delaying inspections of ships in the food deal

Russia rejects the accusations of artificially delaying inspections of vessels under the “grain deal,” the list of the order of inspections and passage is formed by the Ukrainian side, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

“We also do not confirm the data from the UN press release about allegedly more than 100 ships in Turkish territorial waters and connected to the initiative, as well as the average waiting time of 21 days. At present 64 vessels are anchored in Ukrainian ports and in the inspection zones, the list of the order of their checks and passage is formed by the Ukrainian side, the Russian representatives have no influence on it,” the comment on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry about the media report published by the UN Secretariat on the Black Sea initiative reads.
