Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture wants to increase trade with Turkey to one billion dollars

The Minister of Agriculture of Moldova, Vladimir Bolya, during a conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Vahit Kirishci, said he would like to increase trade between the countries to one billion dollars, according to the press service of the Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture.

Bolya held a bilateral meeting with Kirişci in Ankara.
“As a result of our cooperation, we have set a goal to reach a trade turnover of up to 1 billion U.S. dollars. I am sure that there are possibilities to increase the export volume of Moldovan agricultural products,” the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture quoted Bolya as saying.

According to him, Moldova is interested in adopting Turkey’s experience in vegetable processing and irrigation. Also Chisinau wants to improve the legal framework related to the livestock sector to be able to enter the Turkish market.

The parties have agreed to meet in the nearest future within the framework of a joint inter-ministerial commission.
